RSIP Vision has now a very successful partnership with ICCV too: the International Conference on Computer Vision has decided to join forces with us and launch a daily magazine too, which we (as a publisher of Computer Vision News) were very happy to offer, as we did before at other conferences: following the same model which was so successful at CVPR, ECCV, MICCAI and CARS, we were happy to launch a brand new publication: the ICCV Daily magazine. Backed by the enthusiastic support of General Chair Marcello Pelillo, Program Chairs Nicu Sebe and Rita Cucchiara, as well as Finance Chair Octavia Camps, we published 4 ICCV Daily magazines. Here they are for you to read:
The highlights of these publications were republished a few days later in our main magazine Computer Vision News, within a special BEST OF ICCV section. They include a very impressive work by Katie Bouman, who explains how computer vision is now able to understand around the (hidden) corner; and also two interviews from the Women in Computer Vision series: Laura Leal-Taixé and Vicky Kalogeiton. You can read the BEST OF ICCV here:
It is well known that ICCV 2017 was a major success: both in terms of participation (with an unprecedented number of participants, well over 3,100) and activity (let’s mention the record 44 workshops, 60% more than at ICCV2015 in Chile). ICCV Daily set a nice record of its own, with 100,000 pageviews in the first two weeks since the publication of its first issue, a clear sign that the community enjoyed our work. We will have to work hard to beat that at ICCV2019 in Seoul, South Korea. All this was made possible by the high quality work provided by event organizer theoffice.it and its charming team.
In the meantime, you can keep reading all RSIP Vision publications and learn about many of RSIP Vision’s projects.
